Who you are

You have a strong background in CPU microarchitecture and RTL design, with experience in developing high-performance, low-power microprocessors. Your expertise includes micro-architecture development and specification, where you've engaged in high-level architectural exploration and detailed specification creation. You are proficient in RTL ownership, focusing on the development, assessment, and refinement of RTL design to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals. Your verification skills are robust, supporting the verification team in test bench development, formal methods, and simulation/emulation for functional verification.

You possess a deep understanding of performance exploration and optimization, enabling you to drive improvements in CPU architecture. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to the innovative culture at Apple. You are committed to delivering exceptional results and have a passion for technology that drives you to excel in your role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own or participate in the micro-architecture development and specification process, guiding projects from early exploration through to detailed specifications. You will take charge of RTL ownership, ensuring that designs meet the necessary power, performance, area, and timing goals. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the verification team, where you will assist in developing test benches and applying formal methods for functional verification.

You will engage in performance exploration, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement of CPU designs. Collaborating closely with other engineers, you will contribute to the development of groundbreaking products that redefine user experiences. Your role will involve continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies, ensuring that you remain at the forefront of microprocessor design.
