You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of declarative systems and self-healing control planes — your ability to architect complex systems ensures high performance and reliability, enabling seamless ML experiences for billions of users. You are also comfortable navigating hybrid and multi-cloud environments, optimizing for both cost and performance.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and development of the MLPT Cloud Infrastructure Team's foundational systems — your work will directly impact Apple's Search and next-generation machine learning workloads. You will architect systems that are declarative and self-managing, ensuring they can scale effectively to meet the needs of diverse applications.

You will collaborate with ML engineering, SRE, and platform teams to deliver infrastructure that adapts intelligently to application needs — your contributions will optimize the development of ML training and inference pipelines, making them more efficient and effective. You will also be responsible for developing Model Context Protocol (MCP)-based infrastructure servers that integrate seamlessly with ML and data workflows.

Your role will involve driving the adoption of best practices in infrastructure management, focusing on automation and observability. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team, fostering an environment where innovative ideas can flourish.
