Who you are

You have over 4 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in designing and implementing large-scale software systems. Your proven track record includes shipping production-grade machine learning and large language model systems, showcasing your ability to tackle complex challenges effectively.

You possess a strong understanding of large language models, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and vector databases. Your expertise extends to MLOps/LLMOps, where you have successfully built scalable production systems that ensure reliability and efficiency.

Your experience with distributed systems and databases, both SQL and NoSQL, equips you to handle the intricacies of data management in machine learning applications. You are also familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, which are essential for deploying and managing ML models in production.

You have hands-on experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, allowing you to streamline deployment processes and enhance system scalability. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, ML research, and data science, makes you a valuable asset in delivering impactful solutions.

Desirable

Familiarity with RAG patterns and automation tools is a plus, as it aligns with the innovative approaches Apple is pursuing in AI product development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing Apple Intelligence applications powered by large language models. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of Apple Foundation models and evaluations.

Your responsibilities will include building and scaling internal evaluation platforms, creating automation and self-service tools, and ensuring the reliability of large-scale LLM services. You will play a pivotal role in driving the next generation of groundbreaking products across all Apple platforms.

You will also be tasked with tackling complex challenges in the deployment and optimization of ML systems, ensuring that they meet the high standards expected at Apple. Your contributions will significantly impact the development of AI products that enrich lives and empower creativity.
