Machine Learning Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in machine learning and video processing, with a solid background in signal and image processing. Your programming skills in Python and C++ are excellent, allowing you to tackle complex challenges effectively. You are a highly self-motivated engineer who thrives in technically challenging environments, demonstrating strong creative and analytical skills. A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with a publication record in top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ICIP, or SIGGRAPH. You have experience deploying neural networks to hardware and are familiar with GPGPU APIs, preferably Metal and CUDA. Your communication skills, both written and oral, are excellent, enabling you to collaborate effectively with team members.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with Apple engineers to develop machine learning-based image and video processing technologies for current and future Apple products. You will be responsible for creating and optimizing algorithms that perform well in resource-constrained environments, ensuring that the technologies you develop can be utilized by a billion users daily. You will engage in the entire development process, from conceptualization to implementation, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate your solutions into Apple’s product ecosystem. Your work will directly impact the performance and efficiency of video processing technologies, contributing to the overall user experience of Apple products. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the team by sharing your expertise and insights.
