Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in physical design, particularly in partition or top-level place and route implementation. Your expertise includes floorplanning and you are knowledgeable about methodologies that streamline physical design work. You are a proactive problem solver who can identify potential solutions to design and flow issues, driving execution effectively.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with front-end teams to understand chip architecture and drive physical aspects early in the design cycle. Your ability to communicate effectively with place and route engineers allows you to set goals, plan work, and track progress efficiently. You are detail-oriented and understand the dependencies between different domains such as top-level, static timing analysis, and block place and route.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing complete chip design from netlist to tapeout, ensuring that all physical aspects are addressed early in the design cycle. You will work with the physical design team to drive methodologies and establish best practices, creating guidelines and checklists to streamline the design process. As a focal point for place and route, you will lead the work among engineers, setting clear goals and milestones while planning both short and long-term tasks.
You will resolve design and flow issues related to physical design, identifying potential solutions and driving execution to ensure project timelines are met. Your role will require you to track progress and communicate effectively with various teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
