Who you are
You have a strong background in hardware engineering, particularly in physical design and chip integration β your experience includes implementing complete chip designs from RTL to tapeout. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with front-end teams to understand chip architecture and drive physical aspects early in the design cycle. Your expertise in performance, power, and area (PPA) optimization allows you to create best-in-class physical design construction and methodologies. You are adept at leading teams, setting goals, and resolving design and flow issues related to physical design. Your hands-on experience with cutting-edge designs in the latest technology nodes sets you apart in the field.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the physical design aspects of GPU development, collaborating with the front-end team to ensure seamless integration of chip architecture. You will lead the place and route efforts, setting clear goals and breakthroughs while understanding dependencies between different domains. Your role will involve crafting guidelines and checklists to streamline physical design work, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the process. You will also supervise progress and resolve any design issues that arise, contributing to the creation of world-class GPU designs that power Appleβs devices.
