You have a Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of relevant experience in hardware engineering, specifically in GPU design and physical design methodologies. Your expertise includes ASIC integration, and you have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of the design meets high standards of quality and performance. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the physical aspects of design early in the cycle. Your strategic engineering mindset allows you to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, and you are passionate about crafting technology that enhances user experiences.

You possess hands-on experience in physical design and large chip integration, which enables you to implement complete chip designs from netlist to tapeout. Your familiarity with best practices in physical design allows you to develop guidelines and checklists that ensure the success of GPU projects. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate the needs of physical design to various teams, ensuring alignment and progress towards project goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the physical design efforts for next-generation GPUs at Apple. You will collaborate with the front-end team to understand RTL and drive physical aspects early in the design cycle, ensuring that the integration of various components is seamless and efficient. Your role will involve developing and refining methodologies that enable best-in-class GPU design, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in hardware engineering.

You will supervise the progress of physical design projects, acting as the focal point for place and route integration at the top level.
