Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in PLL design. Your strong analytical abilities enable you to tackle complex design challenges, and you have a passion for innovation that drives your work in silicon design. You possess extensive experience in designing and implementing PLL architectures and circuits, demonstrating a deep understanding of RF and mixed-signal design principles.

Your expertise includes designing fractional-N PLLs, digital PLLs, and sigma-delta PLLs, with a strong knowledge of loop design to optimize for phase noise, jitter, lock time, reference spur, area, and power. You are familiar with conducting transistor-level feasibility studies for new RF circuit architectures and have a solid grasp of device physics, which you apply to optimize layout views of designs. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to a team that impacts millions of customers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive innovation within a silicon design group, focusing on all aspects of silicon development for cellular transceivers. You will utilize your virtuoso knowledge to design PLL circuits and component blocks, including VCOs, LO generation, dividers, charge pumps, and XTAL. Your responsibilities will include simulation and modeling to develop analog and mixed-signal solutions for next-generation wireless chips. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet performance and efficiency standards, contributing to the rapid delivery of functional products.

You will also be responsible for conducting technical analysis and feasibility studies, collaborating with other engineers to refine designs and improve overall product performance. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in PLL design, ensuring that your contributions are aligned with industry advancements. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
