While not mandatory, familiarity with simulation tools and performance modeling techniques would be advantageous. A background in chip design or experience with GPU architectures will further enhance your candidacy. What you'll do
In this role, you will be at the forefront of a chip design effort, collaborating with various disciplines to drive the optimization of Apple's GPU micro-architecture. You will analyze existing and new product categories, collecting data and measurements to identify areas for improvement. Your responsibilities will include architecting new simulator features and brainstorming innovative ideas to enhance simulation performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that your contributions have a critical impact on delivering high-performance products to millions of customers. Your role will involve rigorous testing and validation of ideas, as well as the refinement of concepts based on empirical data. You will be expected to communicate your findings effectively to stakeholders and contribute to the overall success of the GPU Performance Modeling Team.
