Who you are
You have a solid background in CPU architecture and performance verification, with experience in pre-silicon verification processes. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to develop tests that characterize CPU performance effectively. You are comfortable working in a Linux environment and have a keen understanding of software profiling and analysis. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with architects and RTL designers to ensure performance features are verified and correlated accurately. Your analytical skills enable you to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.
Desirable
Experience with performance tuning and debugging across silicon and system software versions is a plus. Familiarity with OS and compiler interactions will enhance your ability to contribute to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for silicon performance verification, correlation, characterization, and tuning for CPUs. You will develop tests to characterize CPU performance and analyze software applications to ensure optimal performance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will correlate performance data across different silicon and system software versions. Your work will have a critical impact on the chip design effort, helping to deliver groundbreaking Apple products to millions of customers quickly. You will also engage in performance debugging and tuning, working closely with OS and compiler teams to enhance overall system performance.
