Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in power integrity engineering, with experience in system-level Power Distribution Network (PDN) design and validation. Your deep understanding of power supply architectures and PCB design practices allows you to effectively contribute to the development of next-generation products. You are skilled in using electromagnetic simulation tools and have a proven track record of collaborating with multi-functional teams to implement power supply network solutions. Your analytical skills enable you to develop and validate impedance and droop targets, ensuring high-quality power supply performance through lab and in-situ silicon measurements.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to work closely with System Design teams to provide detailed layout strategies and guidelines during design execution. Your experience includes conducting target impedance analysis, transient voltage droop, and phase margin/stability analysis, which are critical for successful project outcomes. You are committed to providing PI support throughout the project design process, from system pathfinding and verification to characterization reviews, ensuring that all aspects of power integrity are addressed.

Desirable

Experience with silicon development and providing feedback to silicon and packaging teams on system integration trade-offs is a plus. Familiarity with developing test suites for system-level validation and evaluating design margins on power domains will enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Power Integrity Engineer at Apple, you will lead the design, simulation, and validation of power delivery networks for Mac and Data Center platforms. Your role will involve pathfinding studies during silicon development, where you will provide critical feedback to silicon and packaging teams regarding system integration trade-offs. You will collaborate with HW Validation teams to develop comprehensive test suites for system-level validation, ensuring that design margins on power domains are thoroughly evaluated.

You will be responsible for implementing power supply network solutions that meet the rigorous demands of next-generation server and accessory products. Your expertise in PDN modeling will be essential as you work on developing and validating impedance and droop targets, verifying power supply quality through lab and in-situ silicon measurements. Throughout the project design process, you will provide ongoing PI support, guiding the team from initial design through production and ramp.
