Who you are
You have a BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience, showcasing your expertise in mechanical design and product development. Your experience with 3D CAD and 2D drafting allows you to create detailed designs that meet high standards of quality and functionality. You possess strong fundamentals in mechanics, enabling you to tackle complex design challenges effectively. Problem-solving is second nature to you, and you are skilled at using tools like the scientific method, root cause analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE) to drive innovation. Your proficiency with mechanical or electromagnetic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools enhances your ability to validate designs before production. You also have applied knowledge of electrical circuits, material science, and basic chemistry, which is crucial for developing integrated haptic solutions. Team-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you thrive in collaborative environments where creativity and engineering excellence are valued.
Desirable
Project experience in haptic actuator design or related fields would be a significant advantage, as it demonstrates your ability to lead projects from concept to production. Familiarity with the latest trends in haptic technology and user experience design will further enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the mechanical design and integration of next-generation haptic actuators. You will lead the design process from concept through to production, ensuring that all designs meet Appleβs high standards for quality and user experience.
