You have 2+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong focus on product development and ergonomics. Your background includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product vision and explore various form factors. You approach problem-solving with creativity and curiosity, ensuring that every design meets customer needs and expectations.
You possess a solid understanding of kinematic behaviors and how they contribute to ergonomic optimization. Your experience includes integrating mechanisms, sensors, and electromechanical components into product designs. You are skilled in conducting stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and failure analysis to ensure product integrity throughout its lifecycle.
What you'll do
In this role, you will collaborate closely with industrial designers, hardware, software, and technology teams to define the vision for innovative input devices. You will explore multiple product form factors and develop new product architectures that enhance user experience. Your responsibilities will include defining kinematic behaviors to support ergonomic optimization and integrating various components into cohesive designs.
You will partner with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize designs for functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability. Throughout the product lifecycle, you will ensure that designs meet all requirements through rigorous testing and analysis. Your contributions will directly impact the development of products that form the physical connection between users and technology, enhancing the overall user experience.
