Who you are

You have over 7 years of experience in product design, ideally with a focus on consumer electronics. Your background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, equipping you with the technical foundation to excel in this role. You possess demonstrated ability in plastic and metal part design, showcasing your versatility in materials. Your 3-D CAD skills are top-notch, allowing you to create detailed designs that meet rigorous standards. You are well-versed in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA), ensuring that your designs are not only innovative but also practical for production. Your analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex design challenges effectively. Additionally, you have some experience with finite element analysis and general mechanical engineering analysis, which enhances your design capabilities.

What you'll do

As a member of Apple's elite Audio Product Design team, you will be responsible for conceiving, designing, testing, and solving problems related to AirPods. You will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Audio Engineering, and Hardware Engineering, to integrate advanced components into new products. Your role will involve bringing innovative audio experiences to life, directly impacting the design of products that millions of customers love. You will also engage in statistical tolerance analysis techniques and geometric tolerancing to ensure precision in your designs. This position may require international travel, approximately 10% of the time, to collaborate with global teams and partners.
