Overview

Apple is hiring an iPhone Product Design Lab Manager to lead the Product Design labs team in Cupertino. You'll collaborate with designers and engineers to solve complex engineering challenges and work with various lab equipment. This role requires experience with iOS software and hardware.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a background in engineering, with an AA in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, or have completed 2+ years at a four-year university in a similar field. You bring at least 3 years of relevant work experience and possess a high school diploma. Your experience includes working with Apple iOS software and hardware, and you are familiar with digital productivity tools such as Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. You are capable of driving alignment and results across cross-functional groups and are trustworthy enough to work in a high-security lab.

Desirable

You have proficiency with various lab equipment, including Instron, laser prototyping, and 3D printing. Your desire to innovate and contribute to the design process is evident, and you are eager to learn about new technologies that can help develop new products.

What you'll do

In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the product design engineering team to tackle complex engineering challenges. You will operate lab equipment and handle and characterize prototype materials, playing an integral part in every aspect of the design process, from design to assembly. Your contributions will drive key decisions that define future Apple products, making a significant impact on the company's offerings. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and makers to turn challenges into opportunities, ensuring that the product design labs serve as a hub of innovation.
