You are familiar with Apple silicon technologies, such as the Image Signal Processor (ISP) and the Apple Neural Engine (ANE), and understand how to leverage these tools to improve computational efficiency.

Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively allows you to work closely with various stakeholders, including silicon design and camera hardware teams. What you'll do

As a Research Engineer on Apple's Camera Algorithm team, you will be responsible for researching and developing innovative algorithms that improve the image and video quality of Apple’s camera systems. You will work on crafting capture-side tone mapping algorithms that enhance the creative look of videos captured with Apple cameras. Your role will involve driving algorithm development through all stages of the cycle, from initial concept and proof of concept work to on-device implementation and field testing.

You will collaborate closely with other teams, including silicon design and camera hardware, to ensure that your algorithms are optimized for performance and quality. Your work will have a direct impact on the final image and video quality experienced by users of Apple products. You will also be encouraged to innovate and iterate rapidly, contributing to a culture that values creativity and independence in solving engineering challenges.
