Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and over 3 years of industry experience in RFIC layout engineering, demonstrating a deep understanding of sub-micron CMOS technologies and proficiency with FinFET structures. Your expertise includes diagnosing complex verification issues and refining layouts through simulation to meet stringent design requirements. You thrive on collaboration, working closely with RFIC design and layout teams to understand design concepts and constraints, and you are passionate about improving RF layout methodologies.

Your knowledge extends to sophisticated process effects such as LOD, WPE, and DFM, and you understand the trade-offs involved in high-frequency routing, isolation, coupling, shielding, and other critical aspects of RF circuit design. You are adept at proposing solutions to streamline layout tasks and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all layouts meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

What you'll do

As an RFIC Layout Engineer at Apple, you will tackle daily layout challenges, laying out detailed custom blocks that include floorplanning, placement, routing, and verification for high-frequency RF circuits. You will collaborate with engineering design and layout teams to refine methodologies and address any challenges that arise during the layout process. Your role will involve verifying and refining layouts through simulation, ensuring they meet design requirements and specifications.

You will also be responsible for diagnosing sophisticated verification issues using Cadence and Calibre, working to resolve DRC/LVS and PDK issues effectively. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of wireless transceivers, as you continuously seek to improve products and enrich user experiences worldwide. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration, and you will have the opportunity to propose and implement new methodologies that enhance the layout process.
