Who you are
You have over 10 years of experience in software or software security engineering, with a strong background in architecting complex, distributed systems. Your expertise includes service-oriented architecture and leading technical initiatives that drive security solutions. You are highly proficient in Java or Go, and you have experience operating services in a hybrid cloud environment.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide meaningful solutions to everyday problems. Your experience with third-party cloud platforms enhances your ability to create secure and scalable systems. You are also familiar with AI-powered coding tools and LLM-assisted development workflows, which you leverage to improve efficiency and effectiveness in your work.
What you'll do
In this role, you will architect and build distributed systems that scale to support Apple's development ecosystem. You will lead technical initiatives from design through delivery, setting the technical direction for projects. Your hands-on coding will make up 50% of your time, allowing you to stay engaged with the development process while mentoring engineers and driving technical initiatives across the organization.
You will collaborate with teams across the Security and Engineering organizations to create next-generation security tools and services that safeguard Apple’s ecosystem. Your contributions will play a direct role in protecting one of the most trusted and secure platforms in the world, ensuring that Apple’s services remain reliable and secure for millions of users.
