Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics/Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Your background includes familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies, which you have applied in previous roles to enhance production efficiency.
You possess hands-on experience with adhesive dispensing, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), fastening, metal and plastic welding, high-speed pick and placing, automated flex handling, and packaging. Your ability to work with international manufacturing partners and supply chains has equipped you with a global perspective on manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and NX, is second nature to you. You are adept at using simulation tools to design precision assembly and measurement systems, ensuring that manufacturing processes are optimized for quality and cost-effectiveness.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing processes for Apple's next-generation Audio products. You will drive manufacturing automation innovation from concept to mass production, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Your leadership will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in advanced manufacturing.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design and engineering, to ensure that manufacturing processes align with product specifications and quality standards. Your role will involve analyzing production workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
You will also be instrumental in mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing team. Your insights and expertise will guide the team in adopting best practices and innovative technologies that drive operational excellence.
