Who you are

You have 5-10 years of software development experience, demonstrating strong programming skills in one or more object-oriented languages such as Objective-C or C++. Your educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. You possess excellent knowledge of operating systems concepts that contribute to application performance and scalability, including multi-threading, memory management, and networking. Your familiarity with wireless technologies and protocols, including Zigbee, enhances your ability to contribute to the HomeKit ecosystem.

You are a hands-on engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, eager to take on challenges that push the boundaries of home automation technology. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by a strong attention to detail, allowing you to refine existing features while pioneering groundbreaking ideas. What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the HomeKit team, you will develop the platform that enables accessories, iOS devices, and applications to work together, creating innovative user experiences. You will engage in various layers of the software stack, from protocol design and implementation to developer APIs, ensuring that the Home automation platform meets the highest standards of performance and security. Your role will involve enhancing and refining existing features while also exploring new ideas that will shape the future of home connectivity.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define the customer experience and ensure that the technology aligns with user needs. Your contributions will directly impact the way people interact with their home accessories, making their lives more convenient and connected.
