Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building cloud services and infrastructure. Your expertise includes designing and implementing APIs, and you have a strong interest in Apple's platforms. You are ready to tackle challenges such as protocol design and interprocess communication, ensuring that user data is handled with the utmost privacy and security.
You possess a deep understanding of cloud computing principles and have experience working with privacy-focused systems. Your background includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance user experiences across various Apple applications.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and implement key components of the iCloud platform, integrating new capabilities into Apple's operating systems. You will focus on two major areas: Private Cloud Compute, which powers many Apple Intelligence and iCloud features, and CloudKit, Apple's sync and storage system. You will work closely with engineering teams across the company to build frameworks and daemons that support these systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
You will collaborate with highly skilled teams dedicated to engineering excellence, delivering features that uphold strong privacy guarantees for users. Your work will enable new applications and help scale existing ones, including iCloud Drive, Photos, Notes, and FaceTime. You will also be involved in designing and building the infrastructure that supports these services, tackling challenges related to device resource management and API design.
