Job Description
Who you are
You have over 10 years of experience in a senior software engineering role, working across the entire tech stack with a skilled team. Your expertise includes building robust HTTP APIs and backend services, and you possess an expert-level grasp of at least one modern programming language, preferably Go, but also Python or Java. You have a proven track record of taking ideas from the whiteboard to production and scaling them effectively.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to design and architect solutions that address complex challenges in manufacturing. Your experience with the latest LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and others, as well as custom fine-tuned models, positions you to make significant contributions to Apple's operations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prototype ideas and experiment with new approaches to enhance existing manufacturing systems. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Design Engineers, Product Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Quality Engineers to develop solutions that are not only innovative but also practical and impactful. Your work will involve both standalone solutions and enhancements to existing systems, requiring deep collaboration across multiple organizations.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend services that support Apple's manufacturing processes. This includes building and maintaining robust APIs that facilitate communication between various systems and teams. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers.
