Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience, demonstrating a deep knowledge of communication system theory and hands-on experience with 4G/5G PHY design. Your expertise includes Layer 1, 2, and 3 signal and protocol processing, which is crucial for the role. You possess solid knowledge of current cellular communication standards, particularly 5G (NR), and are familiar with the intricacies of modem systems.

Your technical skills are complemented by your proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, C/C++, and Python. You have significant knowledge of algorithms and data structures, as well as experience in memory and runtime profiling and code optimization techniques. You thrive on solving complex challenges and are eager to contribute to the development of groundbreaking technologies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key member of the system engineering team, working on the features and requirements of modem systems. You will take part in designing and developing innovative cellular system-level simulation models and infrastructure that will play a meaningful role in standardization and defining future cellular modem products. Your contributions will directly impact the development of 5G and 6G technologies, ensuring that Apple remains at the forefront of innovation in hardware technology.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the simulation models align with the overall product vision and requirements. Your work will involve rigorous testing and validation of the simulation models to ensure their accuracy and reliability. You will also be responsible for documenting your findings and presenting them to stakeholders, contributing to the continuous improvement of the engineering processes.
