Who you are

You have extensive Linux experience, especially with RHEL and compatible systems like CentOS. Your programming skills in languages such as C, C++, or Go are excellent, allowing you to build automation tools and scripts effectively. You possess strong knowledge of GitOps and Kubernetes, which is essential for managing deployments and monitoring systems. Your familiarity with Hadoop and its ecosystem, including Hive, Pig, Spark, HDFS, HBase, Oozie, and Zookeeper, will be useful in this role. You are adept at troubleshooting issues with UNIX and TCP/IP network stack components, ensuring smooth operations across the infrastructure.

You have a solid understanding of designing and supporting Linux systems, including automated OS installation, Linux certification, and package management. Your experience includes OS lifecycle management, diagnostic, and performance troubleshooting/profiling, which are critical for maintaining system integrity. You thrive in collaborative environments, working across teams to run workloads and analyze/debug data effectively. Your ability to evolve and modify the Analytics Platform based on requirements showcases your adaptability and technical prowess.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build, automate, and support critical infrastructure that underpins applications used across multiple teams. You will run different automation pipelines in a large ecosystem, including provision, orchestration, and monitoring on Linux bare metal and Linux Virtual Machines. Collaborating with various teams, you will analyze and debug data, ensuring that systems operate efficiently and effectively. You will also write code, tests, and documentation, participating in code reviews to maintain high standards of quality and performance.

Your responsibilities will include designing and supporting orchestration pipelines using tools like Ansible and Puppet, which are vital for automating deployment processes. You will address issues with the UNIX and TCP/IP network stack components, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. As you evolve the Analytics Platform, you will be expected to implement changes that enhance performance and meet the needs of the organization. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the infrastructure remains robust and scalable, supporting the growing demands of the business.
