Your expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues is complemented by your fluency in scripting languages, especially Python, which you use to automate processes and improve system efficiency. You are adept at navigating networking and system alerts, ensuring that performance tuning across HPC applications is seamless and effective.
Your experience includes working with job schedulers and resource management tools such as SLURM, Moab, or Torque. You possess a strong understanding of network storage systems like DDN, IBM SpectrumScale, NetApp, and Weka, as well as parallel file systems such as Lustre or Spectrum Scale (GPFS). You thrive in collaborative environments, effectively communicating with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the monitoring and performance tuning of HPC applications, utilizing your expertise with SLURM job scheduler and networking to optimize workload efficiency. You will perform root-cause analysis to develop sustainable automated solutions, ensuring that alerts and errors are addressed promptly. Your communication skills will be vital as you interact with external vendors and business interfaces, managing day-to-day operations and planning for connectivity and exchange upgrades.
You will oversee project management across different functions, coordinating hardware refreshes and other improvements or rollouts.
