Job Description
Who you are
You have over 10 years of relevant industry experience, particularly as a firmware test engineer, and possess a strong knowledge of wireless communication systems and IEEE 802.11 standards. Your programming skills in Python, Perl, or Shell scripting enable you to develop effective test cases and automation scripts. You understand firmware code structure and can collaborate effectively with developers to craft test methodologies that ensure product stability and performance.
Your background includes proven experience in white box testing, and you have a solid grasp of wireless/PHY/radio fundamentals. You are adept at debugging and log analysis, which allows you to identify and resolve issues efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop a firmware test plan that ensures the stability, reliability, and performance of Apple's wireless silicon products. You will create both manual and automated test setups and scripts, publish test reports, and collect test logs to identify failures. Your responsibilities will also include building pre-silicon and post-silicon reference board test setups, as well as production-specific test setups. You will support development teams in debugging and reproducing issues, working with system QA on bug reproduction and log/statistic collection. Your innovative ideas will help address automation and execution problems, contributing to the overall quality assurance process.
