Overview
Apple is hiring a Timing Design Engineer to oversee all aspects of SoC design in terms of timing. You'll be responsible for timing sign-off and flow development, working closely with RTL designers and the Physical design team. This position requires a BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a BS degree in a technical discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience in ASIC design. Your background includes a strong understanding of timing sign-off processes and the ability to innovate timing constraints to facilitate timing closure. You are comfortable collaborating with RTL designers to understand design intent and clock structure, and you have experience working with CAD tools to develop flows.
You possess a proven knowledge of ASIC design methodologies and are skilled in timing analysis. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Physical design, allows you to ensure that timing constraints are met throughout the design process. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for problem-solving, which drives you to come up with innovative solutions to complex timing challenges.
What you'll do
As a Timing Design Engineer at Apple, you will take ownership of timing sign-off and the development of sign-off flows. You will work closely with RTL designers to ensure that the design intent is accurately captured in the timing constraints. Your role will involve developing and verifying timing constraints for both regular and custom timing requirements, ensuring that all aspects of the design meet sign-off quality standards.
You will collaborate with the Physical design team to close and sign-off timing, addressing any potential pessimism or fallouts in timing analysis. Your innovative mindset will help you come up with ideas and plans to verify your own timing constraints, contributing to the overall success of the SoC design process. You will be an integral part of a team that values collaboration and creativity, working together to deliver high-quality products that change lives for the better.
What we offer
At Apple, you will be part of a diverse team that is committed to innovation and excellence. We offer a collaborative work environment where your ideas are valued and encouraged. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to products that have a significant impact on people's lives. We believe in fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive and succeed in their careers.
