Overview
Apple is hiring a Timing Design Engineer to oversee all aspects of SoC design in terms of timing. You'll be responsible for timing sign-off and flow development, requiring a strong background in ASIC design. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a BS degree in a technical discipline and at least 10 years of proven experience in ASIC design, particularly in timing analysis and sign-off. Your expertise spans all aspects of SoC design, and you are well-versed in timing constraints and sign-off processes. You have a strong understanding of RTL design and can effectively communicate with design teams to ensure alignment on timing requirements.
You are innovative and proactive in developing timing constraints and flows to facilitate timing closure. Your experience includes collaborating closely with CAD and physical design teams to achieve sign-off quality timing constraints. You are detail-oriented and possess a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to identify and resolve potential issues in timing analysis.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take ownership of timing sign-off processes, ensuring that all timing constraints are met from synthesis to final sign-off. You will develop and innovate timing sign-off flows, working closely with RTL designers to understand design intent and clock structure. Your responsibilities will include verifying your own timing constraints and coming up with ideas to enhance the timing analysis process.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CAD and physical design, to close and sign-off timing effectively. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest methodologies in timing analysis and contribute to the continuous improvement of the design process. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise in timing design and analysis.
What we offer
At Apple, you will be part of a diverse team that values innovation and collaboration. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will have a significant impact on the products we create. Join us in our mission to change lives for the better through technology.
