You have experience in managing data center operations and providing technical support to both internal and external customers. Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring high data integrity and availability. You are familiar with monitoring software and ticketing systems, which you use to manage and prioritize support requests effectively. You understand the importance of security policies and are committed to enforcing them to prevent unauthorized access to the data center. Your attention to detail is evident in your daily facility walkthroughs and tape library management, ensuring a secure and organized environment.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with support staff and customers to deliver exceptional service. Your communication skills allow you to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a positive customer experience. You are proactive in identifying potential issues before they escalate, contributing to the overall efficiency of the data center operations. You are adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and processes to enhance your skill set and improve service delivery.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Administrator at Aptum, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the infrastructure that supports our suite of services. You will provide technical support to customers through both remote and in-person assistance, ensuring that their needs are met promptly and effectively. Your responsibilities will include monitoring servers for hardware and software alerts, managing tape library rotations, and conducting daily facility walkthroughs to maintain a secure environment. You will utilize custom monitoring software and ticketing systems to resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring that our infrastructure maintains 100% uptime.

You will work directly with Aptum support staff and customers, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues as they arise. Your role will require you to control access to the data center and enforce security policies, ensuring that only authorized personnel can enter sensitive areas. You will also be responsible for documenting incidents and resolutions, contributing to the knowledge base that helps improve future support efforts. Your commitment to exceptional customer service will be key in building strong relationships with clients and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
