Who you are

You have a strong background in data center operations and management, with experience leading diverse teams in hardware and network diagnostics. Your organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively are key to your success in this role. You are comfortable working independently and managing your team to achieve operational goals. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey complex information clearly and effectively to your team and stakeholders.

You are knowledgeable about data center hardware and network repair, and you have a proven track record of innovating solutions to complex problems. Your experience includes creating documentation and participating in site-level project work, ensuring that all operational KPIs are met. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are willing to work on a night shift schedule to meet operational demands.

Desirable

Experience in recruiting and training data technicians is a plus, as is familiarity with managing performance across multiple locations. You are a fast learner and can act as a subject matter expert across all aspects of data center operations, contributing to the development of career paths for your employees and making updates in internal tools.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be operationally responsible for a data center, overseeing the performance of your team and ensuring effective management of day-to-day operations. You will prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. Your leadership will guide the team in managing hardware logistics and queue management, maintaining a 24/7 operational environment.

You will develop career paths for your employees, providing training and support to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Your role will involve fast learning and acting as a subject matter expert, contributing to the overall success of the data center operations. You will also participate in an on-call rotation, responding to urgent issues as they arise.
