You have 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, demonstrating a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and compliance with GAAP. Your technical ability and critical thinking skills enable you to bridge the gap between operations and compliance effectively. You are comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams, including Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, and Legal, to deliver compliant solutions. Your expertise in financial reporting and month-end close processes is well-established, and you thrive in a collaborative environment.

Desirable

Experience with Zuora Revenue is a plus, as it will aid in preparing and maintaining the company’s SSP Analysis and allocations review. Familiarity with SEC filings and the calculation of Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO) will enhance your contributions to the team. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to conduct fluctuation analysis and ensure accurate journal entries.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on revenue accounting, partnering with various teams to ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards. You will prepare quarterly and annual footnote disclosures for SEC filings, contributing to the overall financial integrity of Asana. Your involvement in the month-end close process will include conducting fluctuation analysis and ensuring GAAP-compliant journal entries. You will also respond to investor relations and FP&A requests, preparing slide deck presentations as needed.

You will maintain and enhance the company’s revenue accounting processes, ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate and timely. Your role will require you to evaluate non-standard sales arrangements and conduct contract reviews to ensure compliance. You will work closely with the Accounting team to support ad hoc requests and contribute to the overall efficiency of the financial reporting process.
