Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on hardware design, particularly in the realm of software-defined radios. Your experience includes working with high-speed digital interfaces and FPGAs, and you are comfortable characterizing and optimizing data converter performance. You think in terms of signals, volts, bits, and dB's, and you have a passion for designing state-of-the-art hardware that meets stringent requirements for performance and reliability.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including RTL, communications, and RF design engineers. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively makes you a valuable team member. You are committed to continuous learning and improvement, always seeking to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communications or aerospace applications would be a plus, as would familiarity with testing and qualification processes for hardware. A background in working with complex systems and an understanding of the unique challenges associated with high-reliability environments will set you apart.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, qualification, and testing of custom software-defined radios. You will engage in the design of high-speed digital SERDES interfaces and work on characterizing and optimizing wide bandwidth data converter performance. Your work will directly contribute to the development of advanced satellite systems that expand humanity's reach into the solar system.

You will collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure that the radio systems you design meet the performance and reliability standards required for our payload and TTC systems. This includes conducting thorough testing and validation of your designs to ensure they function as intended in real-world conditions. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the design and testing phases, ensuring that the final product meets all specifications.
