Who you are

You have a strong background in mechatronics or mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and implementing test systems for complex hardware. Your expertise includes developing automated hardware and software solutions to validate mechanisms, ensuring they perform reliably in various environments. You are proficient in Python, which you use to control bench equipment and devices under test, and you have a solid understanding of embedded systems and hardware interfaces. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to innovative satellite technology.

Desirable

Experience with thermal, vacuum, and vibration testing is a plus, as is familiarity with satellite systems or aerospace applications. You are detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills, allowing you to troubleshoot and optimize testing processes effectively.

What you'll do

As a Mechatronics/Mechanisms Test Engineer at Astranis, you will be responsible for developing and designing tests for all custom mechanisms on our spacecraft. This includes creating test plans, designing test setups, and executing tests to validate the performance of mechanisms under various conditions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all mechanisms meet stringent performance and reliability standards.
