Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and have at least 1 year of experience in designing and analyzing mechanical structures. You may have been involved with extracurricular project teams or academic research focused on mechanical systems. Your attention to detail is exceptional, as you understand that tests have very little margin for error. You are eager to work in a fast-paced R&D environment and are excited about contributing to the development of technologies that enable human life on Mars.

What you'll do

As a Mechanisms Test Engineer at SpaceX, you will join the Development Test group, where you will be responsible for creating test stand concepts and fabrication drawings. You will design and analyze structures, fluid systems, and mechanisms, ensuring that all components meet the rigorous standards required for aerospace applications. You will supervise the integration of test stands, which includes overseeing fabrication, mechanical assembly, and data/control systems. Your role will also involve operating test stands with great attention to detail, as the success of tests is critical to the development process.
