Who you are
You have a strong background in privacy and data protection, with at least 5 years of experience in a compliance or privacy role. You understand the complexities of privacy laws and regulations, and you have a proven track record of developing and implementing privacy policies that meet regulatory requirements. Your ability to build relationships with stakeholders across various departments is key to your success, as you will work closely with engineering and business teams to ensure compliance.
You are detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to convey complex privacy concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are passionate about privacy and data protection, and you are committed to fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.
What you'll do
In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping Axon's privacy posture in the US and broader international markets. You will develop privacy and data protection policies and strategies, ensuring that the company meets and exceeds privacy requirements from regulators and customers. You will work directly with customers and regulators, building relationships that enhance Axon's reputation as a leader in privacy compliance.
You will collaborate with your colleagues on the Privacy team to operationalize privacy laws, regulations, and ordinances, empowering all employees to do their best work while adhering to privacy standards. Your role will involve conducting privacy impact assessments, managing compliance audits, and providing training to staff on privacy best practices. You will also stay informed about emerging privacy trends and regulations, ensuring that Axon remains proactive in its compliance efforts.
