You have 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related fields, demonstrating a strong understanding of security practices and automation in software development. Your expertise in integrating security into CI/CD pipelines is complemented by your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security Operations and Engineering. You are proficient in using tools like AWS, Ansible, and Docker, and you have a solid grasp of Kubernetes and Terraform for infrastructure management.

You thrive in environments where security is a priority, and you are passionate about implementing secure-by-default practices. Your experience with security tooling integration and automation allows you to optimize processes across build, test, and deploy stages. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges and ensuring compliance and protection at every stage of development.

What you'll do

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Bandwidth, you will be responsible for delivering advanced technical expertise to integrate security, automation, and observability across our software development and infrastructure environments. You will focus on executing secure-by-default practices and embedding protection, compliance, and telemetry into CI/CD and cloud operations. Your role will involve working closely with Security Operations, Application Security, Governance Risk and Compliance, Cloud, and Engineering teams to apply shift-left principles, ensuring security is built in at every stage of development and deployment.

You will implement, maintain, and optimize security tooling across various stages, including SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning, and supply-chain scanning. Your contributions will enable faster, more resilient, and more secure delivery pipelines, enhancing the overall security posture of Bandwidth's operations. You will also be involved in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices in security and automation.
