Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, particularly focused on cloud infrastructure security. Your expertise includes identifying, analyzing, and responding to security threats, ensuring compliance, and implementing security best practices. You are well-versed in using tools like GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform to maintain secure environments.

You possess a strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and have experience defining hardened images and golden baselines for operating systems, containers, and networks. Your background includes maintaining and auditing secure infrastructure configurations, including network security and identity management.

You are familiar with automated security controls and have experience with monitoring and threat detection in cloud environments. Your knowledge of OWASP principles and practices helps you design secure applications and infrastructure.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures. Your communication skills allow you to effectively convey security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with compliance frameworks and regulations is a plus, as is familiarity with security certifications. You may also have experience in incident response and vulnerability management, which would further enhance your candidacy.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and enforcing security policies and practices across Turing's cloud infrastructure. You will actively identify and respond to security threats, ensuring that the cloud environment remains secure and compliant with industry standards.

You will design and implement automated security controls within GCP, leveraging tools like Terraform and Ansible to manage infrastructure as code. Your work will involve maintaining secure configurations and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle, providing guidance on secure coding practices and conducting security reviews of applications. Your role will also involve monitoring security events and responding to incidents as they arise, ensuring that Turing's systems remain resilient against threats.
