You are an experienced attorney with over 7 years of expertise in privacy and data protection law — you have a strong understanding of global privacy regulations and their implications for business operations. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with diverse teams, providing legal guidance that supports responsible growth. You are curious and proactive, always seeking to deepen your knowledge in the evolving landscape of privacy law.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders — your ability to draft, review, and negotiate privacy terms ensures that Bandwidth's products and services comply with applicable laws. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable advising on privacy matters across various jurisdictions.
What you'll do
As the Senior Privacy Counsel at Bandwidth, you will advise business stakeholders on privacy and data protection requirements related to the company's products and services — your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with global privacy laws. You will draft and negotiate privacy terms in service agreements, working closely with the legal team to align on best practices and risk management strategies.
You will also support the development and implementation of Bandwidth's Privacy Program, collaborating with the VP, Deputy General Counsel to drive initiatives that promote responsible data handling and privacy compliance. Your role will involve staying updated on changes in privacy legislation and providing training to internal teams on privacy-related matters.
