Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting with a focus on revenue recognition, particularly under ASC 606. Your experience includes performing detailed contract reviews and analyses for non-standard arrangements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations for revenue, commission, and related accounts.
You excel in communication and collaboration, serving as a primary point of contact for external auditors on all revenue-related matters. Your ability to provide comprehensive documentation and explanations is key to your success in this role. You thrive in cross-functional environments and are eager to participate in initiatives aimed at streamlining and automating processes.
What you'll do
As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Cohere, you will lead and execute all revenue- and commission-related month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all revenue, commission, and related accounts, including deferred revenue and accounts receivable. You will also conduct detailed contract reviews and analyses to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606.
In addition to your accounting duties, you will serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, providing them with the necessary documentation and schedules to support revenue-related inquiries. You will collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and enhance automation, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting function.
