You have extensive experience in software development leadership, ideally with a background in building and operating high-availability platforms. You understand the intricacies of multi-region architectures and have a proven track record of leading large teams effectively. Your technical expertise spans across various domains including AI, cloud computing, and data management. You are adept at defining technical strategies that align with business goals and can translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans for your teams. You thrive in environments that require collaboration with product leaders and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. You are passionate about mentoring and growing leaders within your organization, fostering a culture of reliability and innovation.
What you'll do
In this role, you will set a technical strategy for the next 18 to 24 months, focusing on platform development, data management, and AI enablement. You will drive the decomposition of services and establish multi-region architectures with clear service level indicators and objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in implementing DORA metrics to enhance delivery performance, including lead time and deployment frequency. You will work closely with product management counterparts to facilitate project completion and ensure alignment with business objectives. Your role will also involve building a strong engineering management team, guiding them in their professional development and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed. You will be responsible for creating an environment that encourages innovation and reliability, enabling your teams to ship quickly and safely.
