Overview
Billups is seeking a Controller to join their EMEA finance team in Amsterdam. You'll oversee financial operations for the UK entity and support the broader EMEA region. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 3-5 years of experience in finance, ideally as a Junior Controller or Financial Analyst. You possess a strong understanding of financial reporting standards and auditing requirements, particularly in the UK market. Your analytical skills enable you to provide insights that drive financial clarity and support strategic decisions. You are proactive and enthusiastic, ready to contribute beyond your assigned responsibilities to ensure the success of the team. You are comfortable collaborating with various stakeholders and can occasionally travel to the UK as needed.
What you'll do
In this role, you will serve as the primary financial controller for our UK operations, acting as the right hand to the Finance Manager EMEA. You will take full ownership of the UK entity's financial performance while providing strategic support to the broader EMEA region. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing reports that inform decision-making. You will collaborate closely with the Shared Service Center (SSC) to ensure seamless operations and effective communication between teams. Your role will also involve identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization.
