BitGo is seeking a Backend Engineer E2 to design and build robust APIs and services for their web experience. You'll work closely with a talented team in Bangalore, focusing on optimizing functionality and scalability. This role requires experience in backend development and API design.

Who you are
You have a solid background in backend engineering, with experience in designing and building resilient APIs and services that enhance web experiences. You understand the importance of scalability and functionality, taking ownership of projects from inception to deployment. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and security experts, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned and executed seamlessly.
You are proficient in Java and have a strong understanding of REST API design principles. Your experience includes working with libraries and services that power web applications, and you are comfortable documenting functionality for both internal and external stakeholders. You thrive in a startup environment and are eager to contribute to the growth of BitGo's India presence.
Desirable
Experience with cryptocurrencies or digital asset solutions is a plus, as it will help you understand the unique challenges and opportunities in this space. Familiarity with cloud services and modern development practices will also be beneficial as you collaborate with global teams.
What you'll do
As a Backend Engineer E2 at BitGo, you will be responsible for designing and building strong, resilient APIs that power our web experiences. You will take ownership of functionality and scalability features, ensuring that they meet the needs of our clients and users. Your role will involve collaborating closely with other engineering teams, including our global team in the U.S., to maintain consistency and quality across our services.
You will document functionality and expose it to the UI and third-party developers, ensuring that all integrations are smooth and efficient. Your work will directly impact key growth metrics, as you help optimize the web experience for our clients. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of our development processes.
