Who you are

You have a strong background in security engineering with a focus on SIEM platforms and network security. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you have a proven track record of managing security incidents and implementing effective security measures. Your expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs allows you to strengthen network security and mitigate potential threats effectively.

You are skilled in incident response, leading end-to-end processes from triage to post-incident review. Your analytical mindset enables you to design and implement custom detection rules in SIEM, ensuring real-time threat identification and response. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about keeping infrastructure secure and compliant against evolving threats.

What you'll do

As a Senior SOC Engineer at Bitvavo, you will oversee the deployment, configuration, and continuous improvement of our SIEM capabilities. Your role will involve ensuring accurate detection, efficient alerting, and actionable insights to enhance our security posture. You will manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs, playing a crucial role in strengthening our network security controls.

You will lead the incident response efforts, coordinating the response to security incidents and ensuring thorough post-incident reviews are conducted. Your responsibilities will also include driving advanced threat detection and response through automation and integrated tooling, ensuring our infrastructure remains resilient against evolving threats. You will collaborate closely with other teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to security across the organization.
