Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in SOC engineering, security engineering, or platform engineering — you've designed and operated large-scale logging pipelines in cloud environments and understand the intricacies of SOC operations and detection workflows. Your strong technical background allows you to manage data ingestion workflows for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, ensuring high-quality telemetry that enhances security posture.
You possess deep hands-on experience with AWS — you've worked extensively with cloud-based logging and automation platforms, and you are familiar with integrating deceptive security technologies. Your proactive approach to security and automation reflects your commitment to continuous improvement in the face of evolving threats.
You are a collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments — you work closely with detection engineering, incident response, and cloud teams to improve platform reliability and SOC effectiveness. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you a valuable asset in discussions with security leadership.
Desirable
Experience with SIEM-IT Service Management (ITSM) integration and threat framework mapping, such as MITRE ATT&CK, is a plus. Familiarity with deceptive security technologies and participation in purple team exercises will further enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead key SOC engineering initiatives, focusing on automation and enhancing detection capabilities across the organization. You will own the cloud-based logging and automation platforms that power the Security Operations Center, ensuring they are scalable and effective in addressing security challenges. Your responsibilities will include designing and managing AWS logging pipelines and overseeing data ingestion into Google SecOps.
You will collaborate with various teams to improve visibility and detection coverage, integrating deceptive security technologies and participating in purple team exercises. Your leadership will drive the adoption of threat frameworks and enhance the overall effectiveness of the SOC. You will also be responsible for ensuring high-quality telemetry and reliable data ingestion workflows for the SIEM system.
