What you'll do
As the Head of Bitcoin Engineering, you will lead the engineering organization responsible for all Bitcoin-related initiatives at Block. You will define the technical vision and roadmap for Bitcoin integration across payments, custody, and self-custody products, aligning with Block’s mission of economic empowerment.
You will partner closely with teams from CashApp and Square to deliver Bitcoin-related features and services, ensuring that they are accessible and user-friendly. Your leadership will help build upon Block’s position as a major operator on the Lightning Network, enabling low-cost, real-time Bitcoin transactions for millions of users.
You will drive innovation in areas such as AI-driven payment intelligence and decentralized identity frameworks, ensuring that Block remains at the forefront of the cryptocurrency industry. Your role will also involve collaborating with product, compliance, and security teams to ensure the safe and compliant expansion of Bitcoin features across regulated markets.
