You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on desktop application development for macOS and Windows. Your background includes leading teams and driving projects from conception to deployment, ensuring high-quality software delivery. You possess deep technical knowledge in Java and are comfortable with OS-level integrations, enabling seamless user experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to align on product vision and execution. Your leadership style emphasizes mentorship and growth, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability within your team. You are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance productivity and streamline workflows for users.

Desirable

Experience with cloud-based content management systems is a plus, as is familiarity with enterprise AI applications. What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager II at Box, you will lead a team of engineers dedicated to developing applications that extend the Box Content Cloud to users' macOS and Windows devices. You will oversee the entire development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance. Your role will involve collaborating with product managers and designers to define project requirements and ensure alignment with user needs. You will also be responsible for setting technical direction, making architectural decisions, and ensuring best practices in software development are followed. Regularly conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback will be part of your responsibilities, as will mentoring team members to help them grow in their careers. You will play a key role in driving innovation within the team, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance product offerings.
