Braze is seeking a Senior Employment Counsel to provide legal advice on employment matters across the Asia Pacific region. This role involves working closely with the People and Legal teams to navigate complex employment issues in a rapidly growing company.
Job Description
Who you are
You are an experienced legal professional with a strong background in employment law, particularly in non-U.S. jurisdictions. With at least 5 years of experience, you have a proven track record of providing legal counsel to HR teams and business leaders, helping them navigate complex employment matters. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively advise and collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management. Your ability to work autonomously while being accountable for your decisions is essential in this role. You are also open to new perspectives and eager to contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Desirable
Experience in a fast-growing tech company or a multinational corporation is a plus. Familiarity with employment laws across different jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific region will be advantageous. You are proactive in your approach and have a strong desire to learn and grow within the legal field.
What you'll do
In this role, you will provide legal counsel to the People team and business leaders on a wide range of employment matters, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. You will be responsible for advising on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Additionally, you will assist in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures that align with the company's values and objectives. You will also play a key role in managing employment-related disputes and investigations, working closely with external counsel when necessary.
