Who you are
You are an accomplished Embedded Linux engineer with a deep understanding of the Linux operating system — you know the plumbing of the OS inside and out, and you are proficient in distribution packaging and software design. You have experience in system debugging and are passionate about bringing innovative ideas to life in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, and IoT. Your expertise allows you to tackle complex challenges and provide solutions that meet customer needs effectively.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with diverse teams across the globe — your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps you align with stakeholders and drive projects forward. You are adaptable and eager to learn new skills, which enables you to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. You understand the importance of security and resilience in high-end appliances and equipment, and you are committed to delivering quality solutions.
Desirable
Experience with IoT devices and familiarity with industries like Robotics and Telco would be a plus. If you have worked with Ubuntu Core or similar platforms, it will enhance your candidacy. A background in consumer electronics is also beneficial, as it aligns with our customer base.
What you'll do
As an Embedded Linux Field Engineer, you will be responsible for expanding Canonical's reach in mission-critical industries — you will work closely with customers to understand their needs and translate those into technical solutions.
