Who you are

You have a strong background in engineering and have spent several years working with cloud technologies, particularly in open source environments. You understand the nuances of public cloud implementations and have experience troubleshooting complex technical issues. Your leadership style is collaborative, and you thrive in guiding teams towards achieving their goals while also being hands-on when necessary.

You are passionate about open source solutions and believe in their potential to transform industries. You have experience in managing teams and understand the importance of nurturing both technical and soft skills in your engineers. You are comfortable engaging in technical presales conversations and can effectively communicate the value of open source technologies to customers.

Desirable

Experience in industries such as telco, finance, healthcare, or media is a plus. Familiarity with MLOps platforms and data platforms will be beneficial in this role. You are also encouraged to apply if you have a strong motivation to learn and grow in a fast-evolving tech landscape.

What you'll do

As the Cloud Field Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers focused on helping customers implement Canonical's open source solutions. You will be responsible for shaping the team's direction and ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to succeed. Your role will involve direct engagement with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that leverage Canonical's offerings.

You will oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring that your team meets deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. You will also play a key role in expanding the range of solutions offered by Canonical, working closely with product development teams to design and implement new offerings that meet customer demands.
