You have a proven track record in project management, particularly in technology or embedded systems, and you excel at coordinating complex projects that involve multiple stakeholders. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with team members, customers, and partners is key to your success in this role. You are comfortable working in a remote environment and have experience managing projects across different regions, particularly in the Americas and EMEA. You understand the nuances of delivering software solutions in diverse markets and can adapt your communication style to suit various audiences.

You are detail-oriented and organized, with a knack for keeping projects on track and within budget. You have experience working with engineering teams and can translate technical requirements into actionable project plans. Your problem-solving skills allow you to navigate challenges that arise during project execution, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the process. You are passionate about open source software and understand its impact on the technology landscape.

What you'll do

As a Project Manager for Canonical’s Devices business, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Ubuntu images on a variety of devices, including robots, edge gateways, IoT devices, PCs, and automotive systems. You will act as the primary liaison between Canonical's engineering teams and customers, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet customer expectations. Your role will involve coordinating project timelines, managing resources, and facilitating communication among all stakeholders.

You will lead project kick-off meetings, set clear objectives, and define success metrics for each project. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. You will also be responsible for reporting project status to senior management and stakeholders, providing updates on milestones and deliverables.

In addition to managing individual projects, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within the organization. You will share best practices and lessons learned with your peers, helping to foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. Your ability to think strategically and align project goals with business objectives will be crucial in driving the success of Canonical’s Devices business.
